1. Overview

译PDF ("we", "us") provides a service for translating PDF documents and images while preserving their original layout and style. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account information: your email address, used for sign-in via a one-time link.
  • Uploaded content: the PDFs and images you upload for translation, and the translated results.
  • Usage data: job status, timestamps, and language settings needed to operate the service.
  • Cookies: a cookie to remember your language preference, authentication session cookies, and — where advertising is enabled — cookies set by Google and its partners (see Section 5).

3. How We Use Information

We use your information to operate and improve the translation service, maintain your account and credit balance, process the files you submit for translation, and communicate with you about your account.

Uploaded files are sent to third-party processors solely to perform the translation you requested (see Section 4). We do not sell your personal information or uploaded content.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

To provide the service, we rely on the following processors, who handle data only as needed to perform their function:

  • Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage.
  • Vercel — application hosting.
  • Modal — document-processing compute.
  • DeepSeek and other AI model providers — text translation.
  • fal.ai — AI-based image editing and translation.
  • Google AdSense / Analytics (where enabled) — advertising and site analytics.

5. Advertising & Cookies (Google AdSense)

This site may display ads served by Google. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or by visiting www.aboutads.info/choices to opt out of third-party vendor use of cookies for personalized advertising.

6. KeepFormat for Shopify

If you install the KeepFormat app from the Shopify App Store, this section also applies. To provide the service to your store, we collect and store:

  • Store information: your store's myshopify.com domain and an Admin API access token, used solely to read the product images and files you select and to publish translated images back to your store.
  • Content: the product images you choose to translate, the translated results, and job metadata (languages, status, timestamps).
  • Settings and billing: your plan and subscription status (billing itself is processed entirely by Shopify — we never see payment details) and your preferred app language.

We do not collect or store your customers' personal data. The app requests no customer data permissions. The optional storefront component (the "KeepFormat images" theme embed) runs in the visitor's browser, only swaps published images to match the page language, and does not track visitors, set cookies, or transmit any visitor data to us.

We honor Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact). Because we hold no customer personal data, there is nothing to export or redact at the customer level; on shop redaction or on request we delete the store's records. Uninstalling the app immediately invalidates our access to your store; translation history is retained to keep quota accounting accurate across reinstalls, and you can request its deletion at any time.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Uploaded files and translation results are stored so you can re-download them. You may request deletion of your account, uploaded files, and translation history at any time by contacting us.

8. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures — including encrypted storage and access-controlled infrastructure — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

This service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
